It’s getting closer!

Michigan announced this morning that they will be leaving Ann Arbor tomorrow to come to Salt Lake City for their dual meet against Utah.

I could not be more excited if I tried!

Michigan, currently ranked #8, is a very strong, powerful, clean team. They have a top-notch All-Arounder in senior Kylee Botterman who recently scored the nations first perfect 10.000 of the season. That 10.000 came on the vault during a tri-meet against Nebraska and Stanford in Ann Arbor this past weekend.

Michigan’s season high team score comes from their February 5 dual meet at New Hampshire where they scored a 196.800, which included an enormous 49.400 on the Floor Exercise, the nations third highest team score on that event after Florida’s 49.650 and Stanford’s 49.450.

Utah is coming off a big win over future Pac-12 rival Washington this past weekend at home in Salt Lake City. The Utes were just shy of that elusive 197.000 mark scoring a 196.975, which included season highs of 49.325 on the Vault and 49.375 on the Uneven Bars.

Watch Michigan for:

-Kylee Botterman to make a run at the All-Around, Vault and Floor Exercise titles. She is a very strong All-Around gymnast, but her Vaults are exquisite more often than not and her Floor Exercise routine is always exciting.

-Natalie Bielstein to make a splash on the Floor Exercise. She is exciting, has big tumbles and knows how to get the crowd involved.

-Sarah Curtis and Jordan Sexton to be strong contributors on the Balance Beam where both gymnasts shine.

Watch Utah for:

-Stephanie McAllister, Mary Beth Lofgren and Corrie Lothrop to make strong runs at the All-Around title. All three gymnasts are strong and are ranked in the top 20 in the All-Around this week.

-Corrie Lothrop to try and top her 9.925 on the Floor Exercise from last week against Washington.

-Gael Mackie to be strong on the Uneven Bars.

-Hailee Hansen to potentially make the Uneven Bars line-up after a great exhibition routine last week.
