Mackenzie Caquatto, a US National and World Championships team member and Freshman at the University of Florida tweeted five minutes ago that 2008 Olympic Team member, 2009 National and World All-Around Champion, Bridget Sloan (Pittsboro, Indiana/Sharp’s Gymnastics) will be competing for the University of Florida and the rest of the Gators in the 2012 Season.

Thrilling news. Florida is getting themselves some amazing recruits in Bridget Sloan and Kierstan Wang of Colorado Aerials.
Bridget Sloan was a member of the 2008 US Olympic Team that won a Silver Medal as a team. In 2009, Sloan won her first National Championship in Dallas, Texas and later that year won the Gold Medal in the All-Around at the World Championships in London.
Kiersten Wang of Colorado Aerials is a two-time Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup qualifier, placing 15th All-around, 9th on the Floor Exercise and 3rd on the Vault in 2010 and 8th All-Around in 2011, as well as 5th on the Balance Beam. Kiersten also qualified to the Junior Olympic National Championships as a Level 10 in 2009 and 2010. In 2009, she finished tied for 6th in the All-Around, 4th on the Uneven Bars and 2nd on the Vault. In 2010, she finished 16th in the All-Around and 8th on the Floor Exercise.
