Canada held their National Championships a couple of weekends ago in Kamloops, British Columbia, about four hours drive to the Northeast from Vancouver.

Kristina Vaculik of Ontario, who has been missing in action for right around a year came back from a strong performance at the Pacific Rim Championships last month in Melbourne, Australia to win the 2010 Canadian Championships in the All-Around in convincing fashion. Second place went to Madeline Gardiner, while Dominique Pegg came in third in the All-Around.

In addition to her All-Around win, Vaculik won the Vault title over Dominique Pegg and Kristin Klarenbach, as well as the Uneven Bars title over Madeline Gardiner and Bianca Dancose Giambattisto. Vaculik also won the Balance Beam ahead of Dominique Pegg and equal third-place finishers Bianca Dancose Giambattisto and Jessica Savona.

Pegg won the Floor Exercise with a score of 14.100 over Kristina Vaculik and 2008 Olympian Nansy Damianova.
